Candidate will be an employee of the technology department supporting the manufacturing of optical fiber. This individual will provide Process Control support for the Deposition manufacturing steps in the factory.
Monitor Deposition manufacturing processes on a daily basis and identify trends/out-of-control situations and correct as necessary
Identify if equipment is not performing at desired level and work with Maintenance or Equipment team in order to resolve issues
Provide Process control support to the deposition area (recipe tuning, process optimization, Process Yield control etc.)
Provide guidance/data to manufacturing team in order to maintain process stability
Identify interactions between process stages and provide guidance to minimize process instability
Lead improvement projects in the facility using lean or Six Sigma methods
Required:S. in Engineering
Experience in optical fiber or other complex manufacturing process
Six-Sigma Green/Black Belt
Advanced knowledge in statistical process control (SPC)
Experience with Minitab or SAS
Excellent communication skills
Detail and quality oriented
Ability to contribute to the team’s culture of continuous process changes/improvements
Ability to work with little supervision
Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management
