  • Overview

    The Supply Chain Analyst will work as part of Draka Elevator’s Supply Chain Team to maintain inventory target levels, product availability, and a smooth supply chain flow. Key responsibilities include coordinating domestic and international shipments, forecasting product demand. It will be necessary to work collaboratively with suppliers to adapt shipments to the changing needs of the business, and manage many details simultaneously. Successful candidates will be analytical, proactive team players with a successful history of multi-tasking and achieving results.

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for replenishment buying of all raw materials and some finished goods for 7+ manufacturing and distribution locations in North America and Canada.
    2. Place purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to achieve timely deliveries and ensure a customer service level of 99.5%. Provide consistent follow-up and communication both internally and externally.  
    3. Forecast demand for raw, semi-finished, and finished materials.
    4. Expedite material and organize tracking information of incoming shipments. Review potential impact of late shipments and communicate with Production and Customer Service.
    5. Communicate to distribution and external resources about import shipments and help organize container deliveries (2-5 containers per day).
    6. Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventories at the factory and distribution hub(s).
    7. Assist sales and customer service with material availability questions and other analyses.
    8. Develop and maintain standardized KPI reports to monitor supply chain performance and support continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    1. 2-4 years of supply chain experience preferred.
    2. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is strongly desired.
    3. Inventory management and demand planning experience desired, specifically in distribution and manufacturing environments.
    4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. More advanced data analysis skills strongly preferred.
    5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. The ability to communicate clearly across all levels in the organization & follow up consistently with external organizations is essential.
    6. Detail-oriented with good organization skills. Self-driven with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.

    Education/Experience

    High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
