    This position will involve troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of machinery in our Manchester wire and cable manufacturing facility. This will include rebuilding of machinery per manufacturers’ design or retrofitting and upgrading machinery per in-house design to improve equipment reliability or performance. The successful candidate will have knowledge of mechanical power transmission components, including gear boxes, timing belts, V- Belt drive systems, chain and sprocket drive systems and mechanical couplings, bearings and bushings. Experience with routine building maintenance including general carpentry, plumbing and boiler maintenance is also required.





    • Minimum education of HS diploma or GED
    • Basic machine shop skills including operating a horizontal lathe and vertical milling machines
    • Welding including ARC, MIG and TIG
    • Working knowledge of power transmission equipment including gear boxes, belt and chain drives and bearings
    • A solid background in electrical theory and practical experience utilizing DC Drives, AC Drives, temperature and process controllers
    • Hands on experience working with Allen Bradley PLCs with RS Logix and other associated software applications
