  • Overview

    This position is responsible for supervising manufacturing, assuring the efficient utilization of equipment and manpower to maintain production schedules and produce a high quality product. Coordinates production to meet production control schedules and maintains continuous flow of production achieving all goals in a safe environment.


    • Leads and develops a safety culture for zero accidents on this shift.
    • Supervises machine operators, instructing and training them in proper methods of running machines.
    • Provides adequate direction for each associate directly supervised; maintaining clearly stated work assignments and providing assistance when needed.
    • Observes associates for safety practices, quality procedures, effectiveness, efficiency, performance, following instructions and procedures to reduce scrap, usage, and waste. Evaluates process and work performance on each employee and makes recommendations.
    • Plans work and production for the shift using thorough, up-to-date knowledge of the processes and the equipment for which he is responsible.
    • Obtains information from prior shift manager regarding operating problems
    • Works with operators to drive continuous improvement in the plant.
    • Communicate important information with operators and develop an operator lead work force.

    • A results driven individual who has demonstrated ability creating and working in a high performance-manufacturing environment.      
    • BA/BS degree
    • 3 – 4 years supervision experienc
    • Proficient utilization of Lean tools such as 5-S, Process Flow, Kanban, etc.
    • Practical experience with driving safety and an operator lead work environment in a production environment
